I bought this truck as a 1948 model but after bringing the truck home and doing some
research, I discovered it is a 1951 model. The cab is indeed from a 48-49 but the
"Job-Rated" medallion on the grill is chrome plated and 1951 was the only year they
chrome plated that piece. I also own a parts truck that is a 1948-49 model and plan to
sell off parts I don't need. This '51 came with a Deluxe cab and the hood ornament that
was optional for that year. My plans were to built a street rod as I also own a wrecked
'79 Chrysler 300 with a 360 cu in and posi-rear but after closer inspection have
decided to keep the truck original. |
