The Military Jeep - Introduction to the Jeep. Since at least as early as World War I, the United States Army had been looking for a fast, lightweight, all-terrain command and reconnaissance vehicle. In early 1940, as Nazi Germany began to win victories in Europe and North Africa, the need to rapidly develop this type of vehicle became urgent. The U.S. Army sent out specifications to car manufacturers asking for a working prototype vehicle to be delivered in only 49 days!
Mike's Jeep Web Page - My jeep is a 1951 CJ-3A. I got it from my buddy's Dad who had owned it for more than 30 years. Of course it didn't look like it does now when I got a hold of it. It has been a long term, frame off build up to say the least!
My 48 CJ2A project - 1948 CJ2A Willys Jeep With a 49 Title, standard floor shift. Bought this one on Ebay after the auction didn't reach it's reserve. This ones been sitting up for almost a year because of wheelbearing problems, L 134 Flat head engine (go devil). Body needs minor work...
Willys Internet Truck Club - This web site covers the post WW-II civilian Jeeps from 1946 until 1965. I intend to cover the Willys Station Wagon, Sedan Delivery, Pickup, early Jeepsters, and Foward Control models made from 1946 until about 1965.
WillysTech - Great page with lots of tech info on every kind of Willys. Many photos of every Willys also.
It's On the Road Again - 1947 Willys CJ-2A. This one just arrived, Feb. 15 bought locally. It was a non-running jeep, had been sitting up for almost two years. Just two days later, after cleaning up all the varnished gas parts, carburator, clogged lines and fuel pump...
Willys Jeep Trucks - This page was created to help folks find information on Willys Jeep Trucks & Wagons. There are many web pages about Jeeps, but when they mention Willys, they are usually talking about the WW2 military vehicles. When they talk about non-military Willys, they mean early CJ's. There is almost a conspiracy of secrecy that Willys made some Jeep Trucks and Wagons from the late forties to the mid sixties. This page is dedicated to the Willys 'Jeep' Utility Vehicles.
Parts Sources - Great link page from the above site. "Here are some parts sources I have found. I have purchased from several, but by no means all, of these."
The Willys Page - A Willys page starting out. Some neat photos.
1947 Willys CJ-2A - Unlike most CJ-2As still in use today, mine is mostly stock, having the original body, frame, engine, and driveline. It was purchased in the early 1950’s by my Grandfather, who sold it to me in 1988.
CJ-2A Willys Jeep Page - There are five of us with old jeeps here in Berea, KY. The one you see with the chrome grille is mine (I'm looking for an MB grille, got one?) Mine is a '48 that is somewhat original but since it's my daily driver I've made a few improvements.
